This week’s study is titled….

“Judgement, Hell, Heaven.”

How much do you know about the above topics? Do you think it is very important to know much about them especially as we share the Gospel message? Why or why not?

Discuss in your group your answer.

Let’s look briefly at what God say’s in His Word on these.

1. Judgement.

What did the writer of Hebrews say? Hebrews 9:27. To whom does this apply?

Read part of what Paul said as he shared the Gospel to the Athenians. Acts 17:30-31.

· What has God set?

· To do what?

· By whom and what is the proof?

When Jesus retuned to Heaven what did the angels say He would do? Acts 1:11.

Read Matthew 25:31-46 and answer the following questions.

· How will Jesus come the second time and who will be with Him?

· Who else will be there?

· What will happen and where will be the final destinations of all the nations/people?

Discuss what Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 about who goes where and why.

Read Revelation 6:15-17. What will be the experience of those who have to face God’s wrath?

What will be their end result? Revelation 20:11-15.

Who will escape being thrown into the lake of fire?

Discuss the following ….

“At the judgement the books will be opened. The book of Life contains the names of those who have put their trust in Christ to save them. These books also contain the recorded deeds of everyone, good or evil. Everyone’s life will be reviewed and evaluated. No one is saved by deeds, but deeds are seen as evidence of a person’s actual relationship with God. Jesus will look at how we have handled gifts, opportunities and responsibilities. God’s gracious gift of salvation does not free us from the requirement of faithful obedience and service. Each of us must serve Christ in the best way we know and live each day knowing the books will one day be opened.” *
