Richard and Anne Hoyt (Chad, DPG Day 1)
Rich and Anne believe it is God’s will that their time in Chad has come to an end. TEAM have extended their home assignment until April. Pray for them as they wait on God to show them what He wants them to do next in ministry. Pray for Anne’s fatigue to continue to improve.

Phil and Sandy Jones (Mexico, DPG Day 5)
Praise God that Sandy’s lymph nodes are clear and she won’t need more chemo. However, as an additional cancerous area was removed from the tongue, she’ll still need radiotherapy. Pray that she won’t get bad side effects and will respond well.

Phil and Adele Thomas (QLD, DPG Day 8)
Pray for Phil as he has surgery for an acoustic neuroma, a benign brain tumour which, due to its proximity to other nerves, can affect hearing, balance and even cause facial palsy. His condition has been monitored for months and it’s been decided that he now needs surgery, which is scheduled for 12 August at Mater Private Hospital in Brisbane. Pray for Phil and Adele to have peace at this time and for the surgical team as they operate; pray for Phil to have a smooth and full recovery.

Steve and Roslyn Baird (Philippines, DPG Day 9)
Pray that church gatherings can restart soon in their municipality. Pray for Em who has been doing most of the teaching, with help from Yayan and Toto. Praise God for two outreaches that are still going well: Linogan village, and the family of Toto and Diding. Pray for Eric and Edyon who have had 40 days of work and teaching; pray that they will grow from what they’ve learnt. Pray for Eric’s wife who is interested in hearing the gospel. Pray for the salvation of Yayan’s mother, who opposed him and his sister becoming believers. Pray for Steve and Ros’ visa renewal which starts soon, and will hopefully be completed in September so that they can return to Australia in October.

Robert and Katie Hovenden (Specialist, DPG Day 22)
Praise God they have arrived safely in Cairns and are volunteering at MAF until they leave for PNG. Pray that if they get their entry permit this week they’ll also get an reduction/exemption in the 3-week quarantine.

Daniel and Emily (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
They are thankful for the school holiday break and a chance to do different things with their children. Thank God for the growth in the local IT business and that extra staff have been employed. Please pray for Dan’s interactions with local staff, and for opportunities to be salt and light. Their visa process is continuing to move along and they are now entering a discerning process with their church and organisation to consider all the factors around returning to their host city. Pray for God’s leading in this process. Pray for their physical, emotional and mental health as they continue in this time of transition.

Carol Luttah (CBMPNG)
Praise God that Lynn’s visa was sent to the Australian embassy in Nairobi on 2 July. However, as she’s not fully vaccinated she can’t enter PNG. Pray that she won’t be discouraged. Pray for strength for Carol as she desperately needs rest, which is hampered by increasing restrictions.

Our condolences to family and friends of Joy Smith on her passing away last week. Joy and her late husband Fred provided much hospitality to PNG missionaries passing through Brisbane.
