Bethany Kapezya (DR Congo, DPG Day 1)
Pray for Bethany as she flies solo with parenting and navigating the usual Congo challenges while Claude is in Manono trying to get some business — pray that he succeeds. Praise God for protecting Claude when his car was hit from behind. Praise God for new teachers Ney and Emmanuel; pray that they will grow in their faith and professional skills.

Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Our deepest condolences to Byron, Lyn, Byron’s mother Joy, and their extended family on the passing of Byron’s father last Wednesday.

Jason and Karen Griffiths (QLD, DPG Day 7)
Praise God that although changing COVID requirements meant that Jason’s meetings were changed to multiple smaller meetings with key leaders, there was still a valuable time of sharing and processing what has been happening as well as talking about future strategies. Jason’s return has been postponed until 3 April; pray that there’s no further delay.

Allan and Shelley Moss & Paul and Erin Strahan (Australia, DPG Day 15-16)
Praise God they are ok as they’re on the side of Moree that’s not flood-affected. They have been helping people in the area, and they will be able to do more once floodwaters recede and they can go into town.

If you are looking for a practical way to assist the flood victims, the Stewards Foundation Disaster Relief Fund is your opportunity to give to those in need. The Disaster Relief Fund exists to provide financial support to families and individuals impacted by natural disasters. In recent times, monies from this fund have been distributed to victims of drought, last year’s bushfires on the East Coast, and the WA bushfires earlier this year. This has provided immediate financial relief to speed the process of people getting back on their feet.

The Stewards Foundation Disaster Relief Fund is a Deductible Gift Recipient and all donations over $2 are tax deductible. Donations can be made at any time but we are making this urgent appeal now given the size and impact of this massive disaster. You can donate via internet banking by depositing your gift directly to the Foundation’s bank account. The details for donations via internet banking are:

Stewards Foundation Disaster Relief Fund
BSB: 082 057
Account Number: 53 930 2758

Alternatively, you can send a cheque made out to Stewards Foundation Disaster Relief Fund, and mail it to: PO Box 260, Burwood, NSW, 2134.

Stewards also works in partnership with Hands & Feet, who are gearing up to distribute food supplies to communities in short supply. You can also donate to support their activities: www.handsandfeet.com.au/donate/

Serving Together: Due to the Brisbane lockdown, the April magazine distribution will be delayed. Although this cycle will be on again/off again in Australia as in other countries, pray for quick containment of COVID cases when they crop up, and pray also for the quick recovery of COVID patients.
