Ross and Belinda Cruickshank (Australia, DPG Day 13 > QLD, DPG Day 6)
Pray for Ross as he onboards with Wycliffe’s Keyman team in early May. Keyman is a keyboarding platform which allows anyone to design a keyboard layout for their language.
Jason and Karen Griffiths (QLD, DPG Day 7)
Praise God that Jason arrived safely in PNG and is quarantining at Ukarumpa.
Ian and Leann Buckley (Nepal, DPG Day 8)
Praise God for a great seminar teaching the first five lessons of the ‘God Has Spoken’ book with Kumar in Kolahpur; 65 people turned up for the seminar and were blessed by the teaching which was new for them. Pray for the need to build another toilet. Praise the Lord for the many opportunities for teaching for Kumar. Pray for Kumar regarding the vision of starting the ‘Not I But Christ Ministries’ in Nepal. NIBC is the third book and is 10 lessons on the Christian life. Kumar has been very blessed going through the lessons in this book and wants to teach it to the many churches where he has opportunity. Pray for a local builder who will be able to help us to start our house, and for God’s wisdom and provision in how we can accomplish this project.
John and Robyn Reeder (VIC, DPG Day 14)
Pray for the Trans World Radio team on Guam and in the USA as they plan to replace 10 badly corroded antennae that broadcast to Asia and the South Pacific.
Farid and Parila Qurbanpur (Australia, DPG Day 16)
Praise God that Farid’s feet are improving, although there is still pain when standing for longer than 15 minutes. Pray for him as he visits local Persians and develops relationships with people in Afghanistan. Pray that Farid gets the help he needs to finish Parila’s beauty salon under their home.
Paul and Erin Strahan (Australia, DPG Day 16)
Pray for the provision of mature Christians to join in the ministry work, who can set an example to the young people and live in such a way that exhorts them to live a life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Pray for volunteers who can serve in a tutoring trailer outreach program next term.
Gavin and Janet Petersen (Portugal, DPG Day 18)
Pray for Nara who has joined the seven people in the Basic English group. Pray that she fits in well and will benefit from the lessons. Pray for Jonathan and Chesman in one Bible reading and conversation group, and Alice, Tania and Adelia in the other. Pray that they all come to faith in Christ. Pray for Janet’s Discovery group with Maria and Betti; praise God that Betti is understanding more of the gospel. Pray for those believers who are leading other small evangelistic reading and discussion groups. Pray that Gavin and Janet continue to have opportunities to show hospitality even as COVID restrictions continue. Pray that their son Elliott can marry Victoria in May—they postponed their wedding due to the worsening COVID situation in Brazil.
Robert and Katie Hovenden (Specialists, DPG Day 22)
Pray that they can fly out of the US on 21 March for Sydney.
Simon and Ann (Restricted Access, DPG Day 30)
Pray that their visa documents, which are en route to their service country, will arrive ASAP as they need to be cancelled before 26 March. If legal requirements aren’t met, Simon and Ann’s ability to re-enter that country may be impacted in the future. Praise God there is movement today on tracking of the documents. Pray for Simon as he completes his thesis and as he teaches The Mature Church Model via Zoom.
Carol Luttah (CBMPNG)
Pray for God’s protection on the teams and communities in PNG as COVID19 has begun spreading. Pray for people to obey set protocols in order to reduce chances of infection. Pray for Carol to have strength to keep going on even as there seems to be limited chances to get a break and rest. Pray for diligence among the staff in the shops and the Head Office.
Our deepest condolences to Ann McColm (ex-Madagascar, 1992-2005) on the passing of her mother Bernice last week.
Pray for the recovery of those countries which still have high numbers of COVID cases. Pray that the vaccine rollout worldwide will go smoothly and there will be a good uptake.
