Richard and Anne Hoyt (Chad, DPG Day 1)
As Anne needs medical tests that can’t be done in Chad, and she isn’t recovering as quickly as she can elsewhere, and Richard has been overstretched with his heavy workload, they plan to leave for Illinois on 11 October and return to Chad in early 2021. Pray that colleagues David and Lucy Morrison in Ireland can return to Chad on 9 October. Pray for Rich as he hands over his many responsibilities. Pray that he can rest in the US, and Anne can recover well. Pray for Janet and other colleagues to manage things while they’re away, including the Acacia ministry to vulnerable women.

Bethany Kapezya (DR Congo, DPG Day 1)
Pray for the school to enrol more children. There are 12 students now, including Bethany’s four children. Pray for the two teachers to be patient as the school grows slowly.

Kara McLaughlin (South Africa, DPG Day 2)
Praise God for those who gave their lives to Jesus recently, including children. Praise God for opportunities for the team to understand their community better. Pray that Kara can cross into South Africa from Mozambique soon.

Daniel and Candide Weekes (France, DPG Day 13)
Praise God they’ve been able to have church services ‘in person’ again (for the last 3 weeks). Despite the strong increase in number of COVID cases, the government is not worried about religious gatherings and is not limiting them (which is different to what happened a few months ago). Reservations at camp are low, which gives time to catch up on several months’ worth of jobs, but then there is not much income. Praise God for the way He has sustained the camp ministry by giving them a financially good year last year! Pray that the Weekes family, their co-workers and the people they serve will stay healthy.

John and Kathy Harris (Netherlands, DPG Day 14)
Praise God they remain healthy. Thank God for full classes and enough teachers for the English classes for refugees. Pray that some students can pass their English tests and start their uni courses. Pray for John as he is scheduled to lead a retreat for the Oasis refugee team in Austria at the end of October — pray for wisdom in decisionmaking for this given the worsening COVID situation. John is also due to start teaching on Joshua to II Kings to migrant and refugee church leaders at Foundation Academy from 14 October for three weeks, either face-to-face or online. Pray for iTeams NL workers as they adjust to the ever-changing ministry contexts. Pray for the selection of a suitable Administrative Coordinator.

Ian and Leann Buckley (Restricted Access, DPG Day 22)
Praise God that the prophecy seminar at Kuraby Christian Church was well received. Praise God for good progress with their new block of land. They have shed approval and can connect power soon. The bathroom in the donga (portable home) is progressing well. Praise God for the huge blessing and help from the church, and for being able to stay at friends’ place while waiting to move onto the block. Pray for their Cairns ministry trip to Freshwater Christian College (12-19 October).

DPGmost people in Australia should have their DPGs by next weekend, so the DPG Days here will be changed to those in the new booklet from next week.
