Allison Howell (Ghana, DPG Day 2)
Praise God that Allison is walking without aids and has just begun to drive. She is finding this liberating! Her work in Ghana continues as she supervises five students and helps with online courses. Institutions are still closed. Pray for Ghana — like so many countries in the developing world, COVID-19 is accelerating: it’s hard to sustain lockdown when livelihoods are at risk.

Phil and Sandy Jones (Mexico, DPG Day 5)
Pray for them as a local church member has COVID-19 (mild) symptoms. Pray that other members won’t be infected.

Jason and Kim Job (Timor-Leste, DPG Day 11)
Pray for Kim’s father who was hospitalised with heart issues. Pray that he makes a quick recovery.

Tim and Anna Southcott (Timor-Leste, DPG Day 11)
Pray for Tim as he returns to Timor-Leste on 18 June to join a new pilot there. Pray for Tim as he considers taking the MAF Ops Manager role as well as being a pilot. Pray for Anna and the children back home. Pray for Timor-Leste’s socioeconomic disruption, political instability, and damaged roads due to heavy rains. Pray for enough water as they head into the dry season.

Bryson and Ruth Thomas (QLD, DPG Day 12)
Praise God for the increasing relevance of the Emmaus Correspondence School ministry in the lives of an increasing number of inmates during the current COVID-19 restrictions. Pray that more hard hearts will be softened, and more lives transformed eternally by the grace and love of God. Pray for Bryson and Ruth as they meet the growing need through the resources of ECS.

Daniel and Candide Weekes (France, DPG Day 13)
Pray for them as they adjust to the changed requirements for operating camps. Pray also for wisdom as they decide when to hold church meetings again. They are likely to continue online services until September, due to the stringent conditions imposed on evangelical churches.

John and Kathy Harris (Netherlands, DPG Day 14)
Praise God that they will get the keys to their new house on 1 July, and their landlords have sold their current house. Praise God donated funds that will help Roma people impacted by COVID-19. Praise God that Kathy has some English classes. Pray for John’s mum as she recovers from a stroke, and for those caring for her. Pray for iTeams NL workers as they re-start ministry and work on priorities among communities significantly impacted by the COVID-19 lockdown and economic hardship — pray that they can meet the physical, spiritual and material needs of these communities. Pray for Mathilde and John as they present to students from a discipleship school about mission work (17 June). Pray that Kathy and John finish strongly this trimester of refugee English classes which continue online — pray for their students as they start their university entry English exams after stopping during lockdown. Pray for Amy as she begins support raising for her proposed ministry to disabled children and their families in Uganda — pray that she and John can reach agreements with the organisations she will serve with in Uganda.

Gavin and Janet Petersen (Portugal, DPG Day 14)
Praise God that the sale of their property in Brazil is being completed soon, and this will be a weight off their shoulders. With the easing of restrictions, pray for ongoing safety and wisdom as decisions are made as to what existing ministry changes will remain and what will change again, including Bible study groups. Pray for co-workers and contacts who have taken temporary contracts in other countries during the pandemic.

Woody and Bev Baker (VIC, DPG Day 15)
Our deepest condolences to Woody, Bev, Carrie and their family in the US on the tragic passing of Margo in a car accident in Melbourne last Friday. Pray for them during this time of loss. Pray also for Margo’s husband Sarosh who is recovering in hospital, and his grieving family.

Daniel and Emily (Restricted Access, DPG Day 22)
They are thankful to have received medical clearance from their organisation, so they can return to their city when borders open up. Their kids have settled well into their online schooling and Daniel and Emily are thankful to have had a steady routine and stability over the past few months. Pray that borders will open up soon and they can get back to their city. Praise God that COVID-19 cases in their city remain quite low. Pray that new cases will be controlled and tracked and that the virus will diminish in their host country and the world.

L & D (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
Pray for their work with teams on a language learning app and an online learning platform. Pray for wisdom as they decide on what roles to take once they are back overseas. Pray for D’s uncle who is ill and in pain. Pray for D’s uncle and aunt’s salvation.

C & A (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
Pray for C and his work situation. The ambulance key is missing and there has been accusations, lies and gossip about a particular worker, and C is in the middle of it all. Pray for peace between the parties, that the truth will be revealed, that the key will be found, and that C will deal with the situation appropriately. Praise God for the various maintenance issues to which C has attended and that have made a difference, including keeping people safe.

Talitha Follent (PNG candidate)
Talitha will continue to teach at Dalby Christian School next semester and her departure for PNG has been delayed until January.

Pray for God’s protection from a COVID-19 spike as a result of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ rallies.
