Belinda and Herman Lamprecht (South Africa, DPG Day 2)
Pray for South Africa in its third wave of COVID. Pray for the infected and their families; pray for healthcare workers who are really struggling. Praise God that the Lamprechts have all recovered from COVID earlier in the year; pray that they can use their experience to bring God glory. Praise God that the app Herman developed for a medical ministry in the Middle East is now live. Pray that this team will see lives and communities transformed by the gospel.

Calvin and Shirley Oule (Uganda, DPG Day 3)
Pray that Calvin can get a partner visa for ease of travel between Uganda and Australia. Pray that they can return to Australia in December for a 4-month furlough.

Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Pray for Cristian who is recovering from COVID (his family have had it too). He had gone away from the Lord but suddenly returned to church. Pray that he will stay faithful to God now. Pray for Joselyn, who has leukaemia, to be free of med side effects. Congratulations to Byron and Lyn on being grandparents to Leighton and Meryn’s Ivy Mae.

Alan and Isabel Knott (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Pray for Colombia in its third (delta) wave of COVID. Praise God that assemblies can still meet within the authorised protocols.

Phil and Sandy Jones (Mexico, DPG Day 5)
Pray for Sandy to be well enough to have her postponed tongue surgery.

Ian and Leann Buckley (Nepal, DPG Day 8)
Praise God The Bible Questions and Answers period via Zoom on Saturday nights has been a profitable time, with many Nepalis testifying to how they’ve been blessed and helped with their understanding of God’s truth. Praise God that Ian can help them grow in their faith.

John and Kathy Harris (Netherlands, DPG Day 17)
Pray for John as he continues his language learning and as he starts a year-long Coaching course in October. Pray that John and Kathy will have a restful summer vacation. Pray for Amy as she learns the language in Uganda. Her ministry focus will be working with disabled children and their families. Pray for her as she works with local initiatives to share God’s love and find ways to help the children find a valued place in their communities.

Bill and Sandra Callister (PNG, DPG Day 19)
Pray for the Saisai Language Committee as they are hopefully meeting this week to check John 1-6; pray that they will be empowered by studying the Word. Pray also for Misima Language Committee members due to be picked up by boat on Saturday and taken to one of the villages where they will stay for the week and have their meeting. They plan to check 2 Kings 18-25 for clarity and naturalness. Pray for the translators as they prepare questions to meaningfully look at the text.

Kevin and Eloise Dyer (Specialists, DPG Day 21)
It has been a very stressful week for Eloise and Kevin as Eloise settles into life in the care facility. Pray that she will finally accept where she is and be at peace. Pray that she eats despite her poor appetite. Pray for her protection in the new and confusing environment. Pray for Kevin to have wisdom to stay balanced and not be overwhelmed, as he finds it hard to keep up with all that’s needed.

Pray urgently for countries such as Myanmar that are desperately short of oxygen for their COVID cases. The PAIS community has been affected by more cases and deaths as COVID infections surge. There is almost no medical help available with the civil unrest and political chaos making the health crisis so much worse. Pray for the overwhelmed medical system and for peace and stability to return to Myanmar.

WMC livestream event: 2.30pm on 14 August. Carolyn Smith (OM’s Logos Hope) and Anna Southcott (MAF, Timor Leste) will be Zooming in.
