Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Pray for Olmedo Gomez who is being treated for COVID-related kidney failure and high blood pressure. His partner is probably saved but he is not. Pray for his recovery and salvation. Praise God for Byron and Lyn being able to continue meeting via Zoom and encouraging/exhorting via YouTube. Pray for more stable internet connections. Pray for Byron who has a bony outgrowth under his toenail. Pray that it can be easily fixed by the orthopaedic surgeon.
Paul and Debbie Howells (Philippines, DPG Day 9)
Praise God that 4350 bibles were distributed over the past two weeks during social distancing celebrations at local churches.
John and Kathy Harris (Netherlands, DPG Day 14)
Praise God that John’s mother has made good improvement after her stroke and she is now home. Praise God that John and Kathy will move into their new home on 18 July. Pray that the bathroom renovation will go smoothly. Pray that they will develop a good relationship with their neighbours. Pray for a Brussels project ministry team outreach on 15 July; pray that they can offer practical help to needy Albanian families. Pray for the iTeams NL board meeting on 16 July, especially for wisdom as they deal with the transition to a new leadership structure as colleagues Barth and Mathilde retire later this year. Pray for iTeams NL workers as they restart ministry — pray particularly for Pier and Joke as they serve among several Roma communities in Novi Sad, Serbia, which have been impacted by the COVID-19 lockdown and economic hardship. Pray for Amy as she raises support for her proposed ministry to Ugandan disabled children and their families. Pray for iTeams NL workers Shelton and Corola as they work in challenging circumstances in Zimbabwe.
Jon and Janet Mitchell (PNG, DPG Day 17)
Jon and Janet are very busy in the village making every effort to ensure the church body there is prepared to be without missionaries for about eight months. This involves training people up into positions of responsibility. It is great to see these folks ‘step-up’ and take on some role such that the assembly of believers can worship in an orderly fashion. Pray that the believers will grow in their faith. Jon has been busy re-teaching portions of Romans, namely chapters five through to eight, so that the assembly here knows full well that they are children of God, saved by grace alone, and their eternity is secure in Him. Pray for Jon and Janet’s ongoing safety.
John and Remy Tan (Victoria, DPG Day 17)
Praise God for His grace and provision during the pandemic. Praise God for the impact of John and Remy’s ministry on people who need hope and strength in God. Pray for opportunities to connect with church, family, friends and supporters. Pray for clear communication, unity and teamwork. Pray for John and Remy help Wycliffe Australia workers and volunteers comply with policies and regulations. Pray for wisdom for Janelle as she chooses subjects for the next school year.
Bronwen Cruickshank (AMT, DPG Day 29)
Pray for Bron as she recovers in hospital from another low sodium episode. Pray for a definitive diagnosis and treatment.
Carol Luttah (CBMPNG)
Pray for unity and a Spirit-led board meeting on 18 July. Pray for a suitable expat Finance and Admin Manager to join CBM.
