Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Pray for Gonzalo Acosta, brother of Fernando in Buga, who is in the US and has COVID. He was in Colombia a couple of months ago and Byron shared the gospel with him. Pray that he will respond to the gospel at this time of uncertainty in his life.

Jason and Karen Griffiths (QLD, DPG Day 7)
Pray for Jason and Karen as they are both involved in facilitating a meeting for our leaders across Asia-Pacific for the next 3 days (19-21 January). The meeting is entitled, Together in Christ 2021, Where is God leading us now on our journey? This Zoom meeting involves around 150 leaders for most of the meeting, while one part each day is planned as a webinar to host up to 1,000 Wycliffe and SIL staff and member from across the region.

Mark and Alex Ronalds (India, DPG Day 8)
Praise God they have their employment visas, and they are due to fly in India on Thursday (Tamil Nadu is reopening schools at the end of January). Pray for them as they attend to various things before their departure — and of course pray that their flight isn’t postponed.

Steve and Roslyn Baird (Philippines, DPG Day 9)
Praise God for protection of their local area from COVID. Praise God that three groups of men have been taught the gospel and also provided with temporary work. Praise God for the young people who have been taught the gospel on Sunday mornings, for the regular attendees, and for spiritual growth in believers. Praise God for opportunity to give rice, meat and live piglets to the believers during this tough period.

Paul and Debbie Howells (Philippines, DPG Day 9)
Pray for the new outreach work in the Baongon region. Pray for the two missionary families there who are waiting for houses to be built on land that was bought on 15 January. Pray for the Talaandig and Higaonon missionaries as they labour in their regions. Praise God for good times with Jubab.  Pray for Deb and Paul as they work on their evangelistic materials in Australia. Pray for them as they recharge and reconnect with family and friends out east. Pray for Ernesto and Jane as they manage the tech side of the work, as well as leading Bible study and encouraging the team in the Philippines. Pray for a deep well that is being dug in Lapoc; it will be a good water source for a potential Bible college in that area.

Eva Kennedy (Spain, DPG Day 18)
The embassy has asked her to resubmit some paperwork and wait again on documents from Spain, which could take some time. Pray that this will all be done in a timely fashion. Pray for wisdom as Eva decides whether to help run a gap year program at WECHQ in Sydney.

Elizabeth Pfeifer (Specialist, DPG Day 23)
Pray for Liz as she is part of the Facilitation team for ‘Together in Christ’ meetings this week (19-21 January). These meetings for SIL and Wycliffe leaders (serving in Asia-Pacific) will be conducted through Zoom, so pray for Liz as she handles technical aspects of the meetings. Pray also for Liz as she waits for God’s timing about when she can move to Thailand. Give thanks that she can serve remotely from Australia during this period.

Carol Luttah (CBMPNG)
Pray for wisdom in recruitment of an accounts officer and cashiers, for creative ways to motivate and encourage staff, and for good relations with other ministries and missions in PNG.
