Happy 2021! Many thanks to BRIAN ADAMS for his years of faithful service as AMT Executive Director/Business Manager. May the Lord bless and guide you and Hiltrud on your next adventure.

Bethany Kapezya (DR Congo, DPG Day 1)
Pray for Bethany to find two suitable teachers soon to replace those who resigned just before school starts.

Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Pray for Colombia where the COVID situation is critical, with ICUs almost full. Thank God those believers who have tested positive have had relatively mild symptoms. Pray that Byron and Lyn will stay healthy.

Edward and Ruth Smit(Venezuela, DPG Day 6)
Pray for better control of Edward’s Parkinson’s disease symptoms with new medication.

Paul and Gerrah Kulikovsky (Philippines, DPG Day 9)
Pray for Paul’s arthritic knees to not give him too much grief while he awaits surgical assessment. Pray for his mum as she recovers from a second shoulder replacement, and for his dad as he recovers from a second knee replacement and a broken hip. Pray for Gerrah to find a job soon. Pray for Guiuan which now has been affected by COVID. Churches and social gatherings are forbidden. The Guiuan school can no longer offer small tutorials — essentially there is no income from the school. Pray for the leaders of the Guiuan and Sulangan churches, especially after a leader compromised the testimony of the Guiuan church.

Scott and Songkran Breaden (Thailand, DPG Day 11)
Praise God Scott was able to get his one-year marriage visa issued with minutes to spare. Praise God Scott finished the mud brick house project before Christmas so that two Wycliffe ladies could move in on New Year’s night. Pray for Scott and Songkran and their community to stay safe during the ongoing COVID situation.

Tim and Anna Southcott (Timor-Leste, DPG Day 12)
Praise God that Tim and Anna are expecting a fourth child in June. Pray for a smooth and safe pregnancy.

Ross and Belinda Cruickshank (Australia, DPG Day 13)
Pray that Ross and Belinda have opportunities to share at churches about the work of Wycliffe, and specifically the support of Bible translation and language development through software development.

Paul and Erin Strahan (Australia, DPG Day 16)
Pray that God will provide suitable volunteers so that they can restart the Tutoring Studio of their Nhuubala Yugal education ministry in February. Pray that Steve and his family will have a refreshing break, and that God will renew their vision for this vital and unique ministry. Pray for a favourable response to the review of Paul and Erin’s alternative education program proposal so that they can move ahead soon. Pray for them as they visit the local skate park on Friday #GospelLight nights and share a meal and the gospel practically with the young people.

Daniel and Candide Weekes (France, DPG Day 17)
Praise God that groups are starting to book stays at camp again. The government restrictions haven’t eased but people are getting more used to getting on with living with the COVID-19. Pray for their church (and the Church in France), that people will start meeting again instead of choosing the easy option of following church services online. Pray that they can find help for the service team for the camps they have planned (some of which are fully booked).

Eva Kennedy (Spain, DPG Day 18)
Pray for Eva as her visa was not re-issued which means she can’t fly to Spain on 14 January. Pray for a positive response from the Spanish embassy and for patience.

Les Loader (PNG, DPG Day 20)
This week a team of 8 Creation to Christ teachers are travelling to Nuku in the West Sepik. Four men from the highlands will be working with four Sepik men to conduct two Creation to Christ seminars, one in Nuku, one nearby at Seim. The goal is to assist the local churches so that they will understand and be equipped to teach the gospel with clarity. Pray for safe travel.

Noela Elvery (Specialist, DPG Day 22) & Julie Loudon (Specialist, DPG Day 23)
Pray for Sylvia Alege as she has treatment for lymph node TB, and for Way to recover quickly from bulging back discs and to be pain-free soon. Pray for the protection of Way and Acira in their travels despite roadblock encounters. Continue to pray for Acira’s health and access to medications. Pray for the protection of Manzali schoolteachers and students and Manzali medical staff from rebel attacks and abductions.

Daniel and Emily (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
Daniel and Emily are thankful to recently have had two short holiday breaks, one that was restful and one full of activity! Around Christmas, they handed out cookies to their neighbours and had some good conversations with a few of them — pray for these new friendships to keep growing. They are prayerfully making new plans and prioritising the different projects and ministries of which they are a part — pray for wisdom in making choices and for diligence to follow through. There is still uncertainty as to when they can and should return to their host city, so please pray with them for discernment and that they will walk confidently into a future they cannot see, hold or control.

Talitha Follent (DPG Day 25 > PNG, Day 19)
Praise God that, despite delays leaving Brisbane, Talitha is now at Ukarumpa. Pray that she settles down and acclimatises well, and that she enjoys her teaching position.

Tess (Restricted Access, DPG Day 28)
Pray for Tess as she has moved to a more central location, so less travel, and she will be living with her language helper. Pray for a good relationship, and for her language exam this week. Pray also for her visa to be approved.

C & A (Restricted Access, DPG Day 30)
Praise God that A’s second COVID test was also negative. Pray for them during their language learning and as they wait for when they can come home.
