Progress has been made in the legal issues around the school. Pray that all concerned will agree to the court’s decision.

Paul and Daphne Chapman (Venezuela, DPG Day 6)
Thank God that a potential court case against a brother who was arrested while transporting medicines has been averted by God’s grace in placing Christian lawyers and judge in the right place. Pray for them now as they work on the documentation that will allow them to transport medicines without difficulty — and pray too that the bus will be released with all medicines intact.

Edward and Ruth Smith (Venezuela, DPG Day 6)
Edward is home after his kidney operation when he had a stent inserted. In a month he’ll have kidney stones removed. Pray for a good and speedy recovery.

Fiona Thomas (Cambodia, DPG Day 7)
Pray for students who are Third Culture Kids and are learning how to transition with the help of their parents and teachers.

John and Kathy Harris (Netherlands, DPG Day 14)
Pray for John as he’s in Malmo, Sweden, for a Europe-wide gathering of refugee workers. Pray that John will lead well a small workshop. Pray for Amy (ITeams NL) who heads to Uganda for three months on a vision trip to finalise the ministry in which she hopes to serve long term. Pray for John as he teaches a five-week course (Thursday nights, 13 February – 12 March) for Foundation Academy to refugees and migrants who are church pastors and leaders. Pray for John and Kathy to negotiate a suitable departure from their rented house, which their landlords want to sell. Pray for ITeams NL to find suitable new office space in Ermelo, at a good price.

Trevor and Manoli Allan (Spain, DPG Day 15)
Praise God for the donation of a small but fully furnished bottom floor premises in the centre of Ribadeo, to be used as a church. Pray for the sale of the apartment to provide funds for the renovation of the property on the outskirts of Ribadeo which will be used as a hostel for pilgrims doing the Camino walk. Building permission should be granted any time now, so building can begin in mid-February. Pray for volunteer builders or handymen who can help short term (contact Trevor at

Eva Kennedy (Spain, DPG Day 15)
Pray that Eva’s visit to the Spanish Embassy on Monday morning next week (10 February) will result in final visa approval.  She’s planning for a departure in early March.

Les and Kay Loader (PNG, DPG Day 16)
Pray for Les who travelled to Wewak yesterday to assist at Christian Books Melanesia. On the way back to Cairns he will visit Port Moresby to meet Jonnie Pakuali and Jeremy Porobi who intend to reach two different groups of unreached people. Pray for Les’ safe return on 20 February. Pray for volunteer builders for projects in Port Moresby and Wewak — contact Les if you can help ( Pray for more suitable people to teach Creation to Christ in the Sepik. Pray for outreach to areas which are still burdened by sorcery and traditional beliefs.

Ian and Leann Buckley (Restricted Access, DPG Day 22)
Pray for a widow and her five children. Praise God for a successful trip to her village to help her. Pray for a planned trip by Ian and Leann out to western Nepal from 17 February. Pray for the laundry and pizza room project to be completed before Ian and Leann return to Australia for six months on 4 March. Praise God that a couple have offered their Hervey Bay holiday house for them to stay after they return from Sydney in May. Pray for Ian and Leann to buy a suitable car and a cheap piece of rural land for them to build a simple house. Pray for them to juggle their ministry while in Australia and family time. Pray for their Nepali team to be encouraged and strengthened by the Lord while they’re away.

Tess (Restricted Access, DPG Day 24)
Pray for Tess as she moves into new but temporary accommodation, and as she waits for her visa.

Pray for Andrew Chan as he goes to Chile and Antarctica on a medical conference (21 February – 18 March). Pray for Christina and the boys while he’s away — especially for the boys to behave!

The Ballarat Mission Awareness Program is on 23 February at 4pm. The speakers are Seng Hock and Luba, James Catterson (OM South Africa), Liz Pfeifer (Wycliffe Philippines) and Stephen Downie (Redeemer Ministries).

The Bayside Mission Rally will be on 29 February from 10.30am to 4pm at Wynnum Christian Community Church. The theme is ‘The World is My Neighbour’. Allison Howell (Ghana) is the keynote speaker, and other speakers are Rob & Denise Ottosson (SIM), Ross & Belinda Cruickshank (Wycliffe), Darren & Lynda Frame (Silky Oaks), Gordon & Ruth Harriott (PAIS), Bradley Scott (Hands & Feet) and Brian Adams (AMT).
