Belinda and Herman Lamprecht (South Africa, DPG Day 2)
Pray for them as the country has been in total lockdown for almost 3 weeks. Pray especially for Herman to source some solar panels so that he can continue to support their OM team and work well from home during this difficult time.


Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
They have been in quarantine for 3 weeks, and the quarantine has been extended to 27 April. praise God that Byron, Lyn, Samuel, Alissa and the other workers are well. Praise God for productive online interactions with church members.


Edward and Ruth Smith (Venezuela, DPG Day 6)
Pray for Edward as he has his kidney operation on 28 April. Praise god that Edward and Ruth have settled in well at Peninsula Palms in Redcliffe. Pray for the Lord’s guidance about when they should return to Venezuela and Colombia.


Fiona Thomas (Cambodia, DPG Day 7)
Pray for Fiona as she awaits the government’s decision re a lockdown. She’s in the middle of Khmer New Year holidays. Pray that she stays well and can relax a bit as well as do school preparations.


John and Karen Short (China/Hong Kong, DPG Day 7)
Praise God for the second printing and delivery of ‘The Challenge of John’s Gospel’ — pray that readers will benefit greatly from its practical application while studying John. Pray that someone can help CBR with the safe relocation of its original hardcopy materials and publications, most of which have now been digitised.


Mark and Alex Ronalds (India, DPG Day 8)
Pray for Mark and Alex, their children and about 15 boarders who are into their third week of lockdown. Praise God they’re in good health; pray that they will remain so, and that the boarders can return to their parents once the lockdown is over. Pray for Alex to get her passport back soon as it’s in Chennai. Pray for Mark and Alex to know God’s will in these coming weeks, in terms of where they should go and whether they should be repatriated.


Stephen and Lorraine Cavill (QLD, DPG Day 8)
Pray for Stephen as he spends more time on the phone and on email contacting people to encourage and support them and offer drought vouchers. Pray for relief for farmers from the ravages of drought and grasshoppers. Pray for Lorraine as her Meals on Wheels workload has increased during the COVID-19 crisis. Praise God for those farmers who are having a good season. Praise God the Cessna’s service is in progress.


Paul and Debbie Howells (Philippines, DPG Day 9)
Praise God that Paul and Deb are well. Pray for Jubab who’s alone in Perth. Praise God the school edition Bibles arrived; pray that the main Bibles will be released soon from the Philippines Bible Society. Pray for the upgrading of the evangelism teaching material, which will be in 3 languages, in video and audio formats, and with written study guides and illustrations. The website is also being built by co-workers Jane and Ernesto Lopez.


Jason and Kim Job (Timor-Leste, DPG Day 11)
Praise God that 14 days of quarantine are almost over for Kim and Samuel in Melbourne. They have been thankful for this time to rest and recover from the stress of leaving Timor quickly. Praise God that so far there is only one case of COVID-19 in Timor-Leste which is being managed well.


Pray for Jason as he and one other pilot remain in Timor-Leste providing medevac flights as needed for sick and injured people. Pray for their physical and mental well-being as they live and work under ‘State of Emergency’ conditions. Pray for Jason as he leads the programme and makes decisions about many issues facing staff and facilities.


John and Kathy Harris (Netherlands, DPG Day 14)

Peter and Esther (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
Pray for continued preparations in their hospital and clinic. The mayor has asked their hospital to be a centre for COVID-19 patients. Pray for Peter who has another recurrence of pericarditis pain. Pray also that they will be granted emergency visas as they expire on 30 April.


Our deepest condolences to Daphne Sweeney on the passing away of her husband Collin last week. Collin and Daphne served in PNG in the 1970s-80s.


A big thank you to our readers for praying for me while I was overseas and then in Sydney quarantine. Praise God for keeping me in good health during this whole time. Many thanks to Wendy and Debbie who prepared PM while I was away.
